What is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most significant development in data protection law for decades. It enhances and replaces the current Data Protection Act 1998, aiming to protect the personal data and privacy of citizens across Europe. The GDPR is not affected by the UK's exit from the EU and will be fully enforced from 25 May 2018.
